Today is dedicated to all the great fathers out there who didn't "hit it and quit it," and those who actually stuck around to raise their kids. Sadly I can't celebrate this day, as my dad is on the opposite side of the country in Virginia. Haven't seen the man since I was 12 years old. So for obvious reasons, I am in a bit of a melancholy mood today. But to everyone who has an amazing dad who has been there for you since day 1, love and cherish him today and be glad you have him. Because unfortunately, many of us won't ever be able to do that.
